Shocking new detail as pitbull in horror attack on boy, 9, killed with axe

Alejandro Mizsan had been playing football on a green area outside his home last Sunday when he was attacked by the dog.

The animal was roaming freely around the Old Forge Road housing estate in Enniscorthy, Wexford, where many young families live.

The children had done nothing to provoke the dog.

It’s understood the pitbull was cruelly hacked with an axe after the attack and died from the injuries inflicted by a man known to Gardai.

A source said: “No matter what this dog did, it was an absolutely horrific and cruel way to kill him.
